ALLY is global jazz at it’s most passionate and irresistible with music drawn from Afro-Peruvian, Brazilian and Caribbean traditional rhythms paired with a modern jazz aesthetic. Peruvian experimentalism alongside Daniel Pliner’s tumbaos; James Greening’s brilliance on trombone and Gai Bryant’s densely layered Cuban and Peruvian-influenced jazz cameos underpinned by Ryan Meneze’ mastery on the drum kit. Layered on top is the stunning imagery of Dai Moret’s poetry.
